SDKs for Node.js, PHP, Laravel, Python, Ruby, Go, Java, .NET and Rust. Start free. The email API that gets out of your way. Send, schedule, cancel, retry and forward transactional email with one consistent REST API and SDKs for every major language. ## At a glance - **1.67s** average time from request to inbox - **40 MB** maximum message size, 25 MB per attachment - **9** official SDKs and framework guides - **24h** idempotency window for safe retries ## Send in one request POST /v2/emails with HTML, plain text or a stored template. Attachments, inline images, CC, BCC, reply-to, custom headers and metadata are all first-class. - Attachments as base64 or a URL, inline images with cid: - Per-email open and click tracking overrides - Idempotency-Key header to retry without duplicates ## Schedule, cancel and retry Pass scheduled_at as ISO 8601, a Unix timestamp or plain English like “tomorrow at 9am”. Reschedule, cancel or retry failed sends from the API or the dashboard. - Natural-language scheduling, converted to UTC - Cancel scheduled or queued email before it leaves - Retry bounced, failed or held email with one call ## Templates with real variables Reference a published template by alias and pass variables. Temple supports nested paths, defaults and conditionals, so your code never concatenates HTML again. - {{order.items.0.name}} nested paths - {{first_name|"there"}} fallbacks for missing data - {{#if plan}} … {{else}} … {{/if}} conditionals ## Features - **Forward any email**: Resend a delivered email to a new recipient, as-is or with forwarded headers and a note. - **Scoped API keys**: Full-access or send-only keys, optionally locked to a single sending domain. - **Inspect everything**: Fetch the parsed body, raw MIME, attachments and metadata of any email. - **Idempotent requests**: Retry network failures safely. Duplicate requests are ignored for 24 hours. - **One filter syntax**: Filter and sort every list endpoint with the same predictable parameters. - **Limits that grow with you**: Clear per-second and daily limits, raised automatically as your sending health improves. - **SDKs for your stack**: Node.js, PHP, Laravel, Python, Ruby, Go, Java, .NET and Rust, plus cURL examples. - **Events API**: Query every acceptance, delivery, open, click and bounce as structured events. - **Compose in the dashboard**: Send a one-off email from any verified domain without writing a line of code. ## FAQ ### Which programming languages does the Emailit API support? Any language that can make an HTTPS request. We maintain SDKs and guides for Node.js, PHP, Laravel, Python, Ruby, Go, Java, .NET and Rust, and every endpoint has a cURL example in the API reference. ### How fast are emails delivered? Across all customers the average time from API request to the recipient’s inbox is about 1.7 seconds. You can see the exact timing of every delivery attempt in the email logs. ### What happens if I send the same request twice? Send an Idempotency-Key header and Emailit returns the original response for repeated requests with the same key for 24 hours, so retries after a timeout never create duplicate emails. ### What are the API rate limits? Workspaces start at 2 requests per second. The free Pay as you go plan can send 100 emails a day; Pro and Business start from 5,000 a day and are raised automatically as their sending health stays good. Any workspace can request a higher limit. ### Is there a free tier? Yes. The Pay as you go plan includes 3,000 free credits every month, up to 100 emails a day. One API or SMTP email costs one credit. ## Links - Documentation: https://emailit.com/docs/email-api/ - Pricing: https://emailit.com/pricing/ - Sign up: https://dash.emailit.com/register --- Source: https://emailit.com/products/email-api/ # SMTP Relay > Use smtp.emailit.com with WordPress, Laravel, Supabase, Ghost or any app. TLS on ports 25, 465, 587, 2525 and 2587, AUTH PLAIN and LOGIN, logs and webhooks included. An SMTP relay that just works. Point WordPress, Laravel, your CRM or a fifteen-year-old legacy app at smtp.emailit.com and get the same deliverability, logs and webhooks as the API. ## At a glance - **5** ports: 25, 465, 587, 2525 and 2587 - **TLS** STARTTLS or implicit TLS on every connection - **40 MB** maximum message size - **250 OK** returns the Emailit ID of every message ## Standard SMTP, modern internals AUTH PLAIN and LOGIN over STARTTLS or implicit TLS. Every accepted message gets an Emailit ID in the 250 response, so you can find it in the logs instantly. - RFC-compliant, no proprietary headers required - Queued messages appear in logs within milliseconds - Same spam scoring and suppressions as the API ## Credentials in seconds The username is always emailit and the password is an API key. Create a send-only key locked to one domain for apps you do not fully trust. - One key per app makes rotation painless - Send-only scope blocks every non-sending action - Revoke a key and its SMTP sessions stop immediately ## Works with everything that speaks SMTP WordPress with FluentSMTP or WP Mail SMTP, Laravel, Django, Rails, Supabase Auth, Ghost, Strapi, Nextcloud, printers and monitoring tools. - Ports 2525 and 2587 for networks that block 25 and 587 - Works behind corporate firewalls and cloud providers - Guides for popular frameworks in the docs ## Features - **Full logs**: Every SMTP message gets the same delivery timeline as API email. - **Webhooks included**: Delivery, bounce, open and click events fire for SMTP mail too. - **Session logs**: See each SMTP session and its result in request logs. - **Rate limiting**: Per-second and daily limits protect your reputation from runaway scripts. - **Spam scoring**: Messages are scored before delivery. Risky mail is held for review. - **Automatic suppressions**: Known bounces and complaints are skipped automatically. - **Tracking on your domain**: Opens and clicks go through your own tracking subdomain. - **TLS everywhere**: Encrypted transport on every port, every time. ## FAQ ### What are the Emailit SMTP settings? Host smtp.emailit.com, username emailit, password: an API key. Use port 587 or 2587 with STARTTLS, port 465 with implicit TLS, or ports 25 and 2525 with STARTTLS. ### My hosting provider blocks port 587. What can I do? Use port 2525 or 2587. They behave exactly like 25 and 587 and are rarely blocked by cloud providers or corporate firewalls. ### Does SMTP cost the same as the API? Yes. One email sent through SMTP costs one credit, the same as the API, on every plan. ### Can I use Emailit SMTP with WordPress? Yes. Install FluentSMTP or WP Mail SMTP, choose “Other SMTP”, and enter the settings above. Thousands of WordPress sites send through Emailit today. ## Links - Documentation: https://emailit.com/docs/smtp/ - Pricing: https://emailit.com/pricing/ - Sign up: https://dash.emailit.com/register --- Source: https://emailit.com/products/smtp-relay/ # Inbound Email > Receive email on your domain and get every message as structured JSON. No. Inbound mail is received on a subdomain such as inbound.yourdomain.com, so your existing mailboxes keep working exactly as before. ### How much does inbound email cost? Each received email costs one credit, on every plan. There is no separate inbound subscription. ### How do I get the content of a received email? Subscribe to the email.received webhook event, or list inbound emails through the API. The body, attachments and raw MIME are available from the email endpoints. ## Links - Documentation: https://emailit.com/docs/inbound/ - Pricing: https://emailit.com/pricing/ - Sign up: https://dash.emailit.com/register --- Source: https://emailit.com/products/inbound/ # Logs & Deliveries > Search every email, follow each delivery attempt with the receiving server’s exact SMTP response, and see opens, clicks and spam scores. The spam checks panel shows each rule that fired and its weight, so you can fix content instead of guessing. - Score badge right in the email list - Held messages can be retried after fixing - Rule-by-rule positive and negative signals ## Features - **Request logs**: Every API request and SMTP session with status code, duration and error. - **Events stream**: Browse and filter every event your workspace produced. - **Cancel in time**: Stop scheduled or queued email before it is delivered. - **Retry failures**: Retry bounced, failed or held email individually. - **Forward**: Send a copy of any email to a colleague for debugging. - **Provider breakdown**: Delivery rates for Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, iCloud and others. - **Time to inbox**: Exact timing between acceptance and remote acknowledgment. - **Retention controls**: Choose how long contents, activity and logs are kept. ## FAQ ### How long are email logs kept? The Data Retention add-on lets you choose any window from 1 to 365 days. ### Can I see why an email bounced? Yes. The delivery timeline shows the exact SMTP response from the receiving server for every attempt, along with our bounce classification. ### What does “held” mean? You can also retry manually from the request log. ### How do I verify a webhook signature? Across all customers, about 98.5% of messages are delivered. Your own results depend on list quality and content, which is why we score content before sending and suppress bad addresses automatically. ### Do I need a dedicated IP? Most senders do best on our pristine shared pools. A dedicated IP makes sense when you consistently send at least about 1,000 emails a day and want full control of your reputation. It costs $30 per IP per month. ### Why does Emailit require SPF, DKIM and DMARC? Mailbox providers like Gmail and Yahoo require authentication for bulk senders, and unauthenticated mail is the fastest way into spam. Enforcing it protects you and every other customer. ## Links - Documentation: https://emailit.com/docs/deliverability/ - Pricing: https://emailit.com/pricing/ - Sign up: https://dash.emailit.com/register --- Source: https://emailit.com/products/deliverability/ # DMARC Reports > Hosted DMARC report mailbox with aggregate and forensic reports, pass rates, sources, countries and ASNs. The Model Context Protocol is an open standard that lets AI assistants call tools in other products. Emailit’s MCP server exposes the whole Emailit API as tools that assistants like ChatGPT, Claude and Cursor can use on your behalf. ### Which AI tools work with Emailit? ChatGPT, Claude (including Claude Code), Cursor, Codex, Grok, VS Code, Windsurf, Zed and any other client that supports remote MCP servers. Clients without remote server support can use the open-source local server. ### Is it safe to give an AI agent access to my email? You approve access in your browser, choose which workspaces the agent can use and can revoke it any time under Account › Connected apps. Sending-only access limits an agent to sending email, without access to settings, domains or contacts, and read-only mode hides every tool that changes data. ## Links - Documentation: https://emailit.com/docs/mcp/ - Pricing: https://emailit.com/pricing/ - Sign up: https://dash.emailit.com/register --- Source: https://emailit.com/products/mcp/ # Security & Compliance > EU infrastructure we own in Prague, GDPR-ready data handling, roles, scoped API keys, two-factor authentication, passkeys and configurable data retention. Here is who should pick Emailit, Amazon SES, Resend, or Postmark depending on cost, DX, deliverability, and EU hosting. Updated 2026-07-19. The best transactional email API depends on what you optimize for. Cost shape, developer experience, deliverability focus, and where mail is processed all pull in different directions. Use the map below, then read the lane that matches you. ## You want simple, fair pricing and EU-owned infrastructure **Recommendation: Emailit.** Pick Emailit if you want API plus SMTP plus a real dashboard, pay-as-you-go credits that never expire, and sending from a fully owned data center in Prague with 99.9% uptime. Why: - No subscription required to send: the free plan includes 3,000 emails a month, and extra credits cover spikes. - Managed product surface: domains, analytics, campaigns, webhooks, inbound. - EU-owned infrastructure in Prague, not a rented third-party sending stack. Skip this if: - You already live deep in AWS and want the absolute lowest raw per-email rate. - You need a full enterprise marketing cloud with CRM and SMS in one vendor. ## You want the lowest raw cost and already run on AWS **Recommendation: Amazon SES.** Amazon SES wins on sticker price at high volume if your team will build dashboards, bounce handling, and deliverability ops yourself. Why: - Very low per-email cost compared with managed platforms. - Native fit if your stack is already Lambda, SNS, and IAM. - Fine when email is infrastructure, not a product surface you want to buy. Skip this if: - You want a polished dashboard and credits UX without building it. - You need a clear EU-owned sending story without assembling AWS regions yourself. ## You optimize for developer experience and React email workflows **Recommendation: Resend.** Resend is a strong pick when DX, modern APIs, and React-oriented templating matter more than pay-as-you-go billing. Why: - Clean API and docs that teams ship with quickly. - Strong fit for Next.js and modern SaaS stacks. - Subscription tiers are simple if your volume is steady month to month. Skip this if: - You dislike monthly plans and prefer credits that never expire. - EU-owned infrastructure is a hard requirement. ## You will pay a premium for transactional deliverability focus **Recommendation: Postmark.** Postmark fits teams that treat password resets and receipts as revenue-critical and want a transactional-first reputation story. Why: - Long reputation as a transactional specialist. - Clear product focus: important mail, not mixed bulk marketing pools. - Worth it when a missed email costs more than the price difference. Skip this if: - Budget and PAYG flexibility matter more than brand premium. - You also need marketing campaigns in the same credit-based product. ## FAQ ### Is there really a single best transactional email API? No. The best pick depends on cost shape, how much ops you want to own, DX preferences, and compliance constraints. That is why this page answers by audience. ### When is Emailit the better default than SES? When you want a managed dashboard, API and SMTP, and PAYG credits without building bounce tooling and analytics on top of raw AWS infrastructure. ### Does Emailit require a monthly subscription? No. Emailit uses pay-as-you-go credits that never expire. You can send without locking into a monthly plan. ### Where does Emailit process sending infrastructure? Emailit runs on a fully owned data center in Prague, with 99.9% uptime as the reliability target. --- Source: https://emailit.com/answers/best-transactional-email-api/ # Best SendGrid alternative > Best SendGrid alternative depends on why you are leaving: price shape, complexity, or marketing-plus-transactional bundling. Compare Emailit, Resend, Postmark, and SES by audience. Updated 2026-07-19. People leave SendGrid for different reasons: subscription pricing, product complexity, or wanting a sharper transactional tool. The best alternative is the one that fixes your reason for leaving, not a generic #1 list. ## You want out of subscription tiers and unused plan capacity **Recommendation: Emailit.** Choose Emailit if SendGrid’s monthly tiers feel like paying for capacity you do not use. Buy credits that never expire, send over API or SMTP, and keep a full dashboard. Why: - Pay-as-you-go credits with no required subscription. - API, SMTP, analytics, campaigns, and webhooks without an enterprise maze. - Owned Prague data center and 99.9% uptime for teams that care where mail runs. Skip this if: - You need Twilio ecosystem features and are happy paying for the bundle. - You only care about absolute lowest AWS-level unit cost. ## You want a cleaner developer experience than SendGrid’s surface area **Recommendation: Resend.** Resend is a strong SendGrid alternative when the pain is DX and product clutter, and a modern API with subscription pricing is acceptable. Why: - Focused API that many SaaS teams find faster to ship with. - Less of a kitchen-sink platform feeling. - Good path if your stack is already React or Next.js oriented. Skip this if: - You specifically want credits that never expire instead of monthly plans. - EU-owned sending infrastructure is non-negotiable. ## You want a transactional specialist, not marketing plus transactional **Recommendation: Postmark.** Postmark fits if SendGrid feels too marketing-heavy and you want a product that treats transactional mail as the main job. Why: - Transactional-first positioning and tooling. - Clear alternative when inbox placement for critical mail is the priority. - Simpler mental model than a full ESP suite. Skip this if: - You still need broad marketing campaigns in the same product. - Price flexibility and PAYG matter more than premium branding. ## You are leaving mainly to cut unit cost at high volume **Recommendation: Amazon SES.** SES is the usual cost escape hatch from SendGrid if your engineers will own deliverability tooling and monitoring. Why: - Lowest common raw sending cost at scale. - Works if email ops is already an engineering responsibility. - Avoids paying managed-platform premiums you do not use. Skip this if: - You want a managed dashboard and simple credits without building them. - You are leaving SendGrid because complexity hurt you. SES is more DIY, not less. ## FAQ ### Is Emailit a drop-in SendGrid replacement? For many API and SMTP transactional workloads, yes in spirit: send mail, track events, manage domains. Exact API shapes differ, so plan a short migration, not a blind find-and-replace. ### Why do people look for a SendGrid alternative? Common reasons are monthly plan pricing, product complexity, free-tier changes, or wanting a clearer transactional or EU-hosted option. ### Should I move marketing and transactional together? Not always. Many teams keep marketing on an ESP and move transactional mail to a focused API. Mixing both on one reputation pool is a tradeoff, not a requirement. ### Does Emailit charge a monthly SendGrid-style plan? No. Emailit sells pay-as-you-go credits that never expire. You do not need a subscription to send. --- Source: https://emailit.com/answers/best-sendgrid-alternative/ # Email API without a monthly subscription > Want an email API without a monthly subscription? Compare Emailit pay-as-you-go credits with SES usage billing and providers that still expect monthly plans. Updated 2026-07-19. Not every email API forces a monthly plan. Some charge for usage, some sell credits, and some still expect a subscription even when volume is low. Here is who each model fits. ## You want credits you can buy once and spend unevenly **Recommendation: Emailit.** Emailit is built for this: pay-as-you-go credits that never expire, no subscription required to send, plus API, SMTP, and a dashboard on owned Prague infrastructure. Why: - Start on the free plan (3,000 emails a month) and buy extra credits when you need them. Purchased credits do not vanish at month end. - Good for seasonal, agency, or bursty SaaS volume. - Still get a managed product, not raw infrastructure only. Skip this if: - You prefer a flat monthly included allowance and predictable SaaS invoicing. - You want the absolute lowest AWS unit price and will build the rest. ## You are fine with usage billing inside AWS **Recommendation: Amazon SES.** SES is usage-priced rather than a classic email SaaS subscription, but you pay in ops time: dashboards, suppression, and monitoring are mostly yours. Why: - Pay mainly for what you send. - Fits AWS-native teams already comfortable with IAM and SNS. - Cheap at high volume if engineering cost is acceptable. Skip this if: - You want simple credits and a product UI without assembling AWS pieces. - Finance wants a simple non-AWS vendor invoice for email. ## You are okay with a monthly plan if DX is excellent **Recommendation: Resend.** If avoiding a subscription is nice-to-have rather than required, Resend’s monthly tiers can still be the right product for DX-focused teams. Why: - Clear plan structure for steady monthly volume. - Strong developer experience for modern apps. - Subscription overhead is fine when usage is predictable. Skip this if: - You explicitly refuse monthly email plans. - Your volume is spiky and you hate paying for idle capacity. ## You will pay a premium monthly plan for transactional focus **Recommendation: Postmark.** Postmark is not a no-subscription story. Pick it when plan pricing is acceptable and transactional reliability is the buying reason. Why: - Product and pricing assume you value specialized transactional delivery. - Monthly plans are part of the model, not an accident. - Right when inbox placement for critical mail beats billing flexibility. Skip this if: - No monthly subscription is a hard requirement. - You need the cheapest possible managed option. ## FAQ ### What does email API without a subscription mean here? It means you can send without buying a recurring monthly plan. Emailit does this with a free Pay as you go plan and credits you buy as needed. SES does it with usage billing. Many popular APIs still prefer monthly tiers. ### Do Emailit credits expire? No. Emailit credits never expire, which matters if your sending is seasonal or uneven. ### Is pay-as-you-go always cheaper? Not always. Steady high volume on a well-matched subscription can look tidy on a spreadsheet. PAYG wins when volume varies or you hate paying for unused plan capacity. ### Can I use SMTP without a subscription on Emailit? Yes. Emailit supports API and SMTP under the same credit model. --- Source: https://emailit.com/answers/email-api-without-subscription/ # Best EU / GDPR transactional email API > Best EU and GDPR transactional email API depends on whether you need owned EU infrastructure, a US vendor with an EU region, or AWS residency controls. Compare Emailit and common alternatives. Updated 2026-07-19. GDPR and EU residency are not the same checkbox. Some products offer an EU region on shared cloud. Others own the sending infrastructure in the EU. Your answer depends on how strict your requirement is. ## You want EU-owned sending infrastructure, not only an EU region flag **Recommendation: Emailit.** Emailit fits teams that want transactional email from a fully owned data center in Prague, with PAYG credits, API and SMTP, and 99.9% uptime, without a required subscription. Why: - Owned Prague data center, not third-party sending infrastructure. - Practical GDPR-oriented story for product mail like resets and receipts. - Managed platform so compliance preference does not force raw DIY ops. Skip this if: - You must stay inside AWS for every workload and already have SES residency designed. - You need a US-only enterprise vendor already approved on your security questionnaire. ## You need residency controls inside AWS and can operate SES **Recommendation: Amazon SES.** SES can work when your compliance program is already AWS-centric and your team will configure regions, logging, and access correctly. Why: - Residency can be designed with AWS regions and your existing controls. - Familiar path for companies standardized on AWS security reviews. - Cost efficient if engineering owns the email layer. Skip this if: - You want a vendor that owns the mail stack in the EU without AWS assembly. - You do not want to build dashboarding and bounce handling. ## You want a broader EU-friendly marketing plus email suite **Recommendation: Brevo.** Brevo is a reasonable lane when you want marketing features and an EU-associated vendor story more than a pure PAYG transactional API. Why: - Stronger marketing suite shape than a pure transactional API. - Often evaluated by EU teams comparing all-in-one tools. - Fits if campaigns and CRM-ish features matter as much as API sends. Skip this if: - You only need transactional API or SMTP with credit-based billing. - Owned Prague infrastructure specifically is the requirement. ## DX matters more than EU-owned infrastructure **Recommendation: Resend.** If GDPR process (DPA, subprocessors) is enough and EU-owned hardware is not mandatory, a US DX-focused API like Resend may still win on product feel. Why: - Fast path for developers shipping SaaS auth and notifications. - Compliance paperwork and product residency needs are different bars. - Honest pick when the team priority is shipping speed over infrastructure ownership. Skip this if: - Procurement requires EU-owned sending infrastructure. - You refuse subscription billing. ## FAQ ### Does GDPR require an EU-hosted email API? Not automatically. GDPR is about lawful processing, contracts, and safeguards. Many teams still prefer EU processing for risk reduction. Confirm with your counsel for your data types. ### What is different about Emailit’s EU story? Emailit runs on a fully owned data center in Prague rather than only offering an EU region on someone else’s sending stack. ### Is an EU region on a US cloud the same as owned EU infrastructure? No. A region flag and owned infrastructure are different trust and control models. Pick based on what your security review actually requires. ### Can I use Emailit for password resets and receipts under a GDPR program? Many product teams do use Emailit for transactional mail. You still need the usual basics: DPA, retention choices, and minimizing personal data in templates. --- Source: https://emailit.com/answers/best-eu-gdpr-email-api/ # Best Amazon SES alternative with a dashboard > Best Amazon SES alternative with a dashboard if you like SES pricing shape but hate building ops. Compare Emailit, Resend, Postmark, and when to stay on SES. Updated 2026-07-19. SES is cheap and flexible, and incomplete as a product. People look for an SES alternative when they want a dashboard, simpler billing, or less AWS glue. The right move depends on whether you are escaping cost ops, DX pain, or compliance constraints. ## You like usage-style economics but want a real product UI **Recommendation: Emailit.** Emailit is the closest managed answer for many SES refugees: pay-as-you-go credits that never expire, API and SMTP, analytics and domains in a dashboard, owned Prague DC, 99.9% uptime. Why: - Keeps a usage-first mindset without monthly plan lock-in. - Dashboard for domains, delivery visibility, campaigns, and webhooks. - Avoids building SNS plumbing and homemade admin tools for basic email ops. Skip this if: - You truly need SES’s lowest possible unit price at massive scale. - Your security program forbids leaving AWS for sending. ## You want the modern API experience more than PAYG credits **Recommendation: Resend.** Resend is a strong SES alternative when the pain is developer experience and you accept subscription tiers for a polished API. Why: - Faster path from zero to production sends for many SaaS apps. - Less AWS console work for day-to-day email tasks. - Good when the team values DX over credit-based billing. Skip this if: - You left SES specifically to avoid another monthly SaaS plan. - EU-owned infrastructure is required. ## You want premium transactional focus after DIY SES **Recommendation: Postmark.** Postmark fits teams that outgrew SES ops and want a transactional specialist with a supported product, even at higher cost. Why: - Clear transactional positioning after DIY infrastructure fatigue. - Support and product focus can beat raw SES cost for critical mail. - Dashboard and workflows without assembling AWS pieces. Skip this if: - Budget is the main reason you chose SES originally. - You need marketing campaigns in the same credit system. ## You still want SES because cost and AWS control win **Recommendation: Amazon SES.** Stay on SES if your team already built the missing pieces and the unit economics still dominate every alternative. Why: - Hard to beat on raw sending cost at high volume. - Fits organizations standardized on AWS operations. - Leaving has migration cost you may not need to pay. Skip this if: - You do not have time to maintain bounce handling, dashboards, and alerting. - You want credits UX and EU-owned infrastructure without AWS assembly. ## FAQ ### What does SES alternative with a dashboard mean? It means a managed email product that covers domains, logs, analytics, and sending controls in a UI, instead of wiring SES to CloudWatch, SNS, and homegrown admin tools. ### Is Emailit cheaper than SES? Usually not on pure unit cost. Emailit trades a bit of raw price for a managed product, PAYG credits, and less ops work. SES often wins on sticker price; Emailit wins on total effort. ### Can I keep SMTP if I leave SES? Yes with Emailit. API and SMTP are both supported under the same credit model. ### When should I not leave SES? If you already invested in solid SES tooling, need maximum AWS control, and the engineering cost is already sunk and maintained. --- Source: https://emailit.com/answers/best-amazon-ses-alternative/ # Amazon SES vs Emailit > Amazon SES is raw email infrastructure at rock-bottom PAYG rates. Emailit is a managed email platform with PAYG credits, a full dashboard, and an owned EU data center, without assembling AWS pieces yourself. ## The core difference - **Emailit:** Emailit gives you API, SMTP, analytics, campaigns, and credits UX out of the box, running on a fully owned Prague data center with 99.9% uptime, still pay-as-you-go, no subscription required. - **Amazon SES:** Amazon SES is a building block inside AWS. You get extremely low sending prices and deep AWS integration, but you own warm-up, tooling, dashboards, and most operational complexity.
