Customize the unsubscribe page

Design the page recipients see when they unsubscribe from your campaigns, with your logo, colors, fonts, footer links and texts in several languages, and without Emailit branding.

Available onPay as you goProBusinessCustomUpdated Oct 20, 2026

This guide shows how to replace Emailit’s unsubscribe page with your own design: your logo and colors, your footer links and small print, no Emailit branding, and texts in your recipients’ languages. What the page does stays the same. See Unsubscribes.

Before you start

  • Designing the page is part of the Pro, Business and Custom plans. On Pay as you go, recipients see Emailit’s page, in their browser’s language when Emailit has texts for it.
  • Only workspace admins can change the page. Members can see the preview.
  • The design applies to every campaign in the workspace.

Open the editor

Open WorkspaceSettingsUnsubscribe page and select Design your page, or Edit page once you have saved a design. The settings page previews the page as recipients see it and lists what you have customized.

The editor has three parts:

Part What it does
Add and Layers (left) Add blocks, and see the page’s blocks in order. Drag a block onto the page or into Layers, or click it to add it after the selected block.
The page (middle) The page as recipients see it. Click a block to select it, drag its handle to move it, and double-click a text to edit it in place.
Properties, Design and Languages (right) Settings of the selected block or the footer, the look of the whole page, and its languages.

Above the page, switch between Unsubscribed and Resubscribed to see both states, and between desktop and mobile. Undo is Cmd/Ctrl+Z and Redo is Shift+Cmd/Ctrl+Z. Select Save to publish: recipients see the new page right away.

Blocks

Block What it shows
Logo Your logo. Upload an image or paste its URL, and set its width, alignment and an optional link. A page has one logo.
Heading, Text Your own texts. Leave an empty line in a text to start a new paragraph.
Button A link styled as a button, for example to your website.
Image A picture, optionally linked.
Divider, Spacer A line or empty space between blocks.
Confirmation Tells the recipient they are unsubscribed and offers Resubscribe. After a resubscribe it shows its second title and message. Below them, Manage your subscriptions links to the recipient’s manage subscriptions page. Every page has it: you can move it and change its texts, but not remove it. Turn off Resubscribe button or Manage subscriptions link to hide the button or the link.
Reasons survey Asks why the recipient left. Rename, reorder or remove the options, or remove the survey. The answers are saved with the unsubscribe, so the five options are fixed: you can’t add your own.

Links on the page must start with https://, http://, mailto: or tel:. The status pill above the page lists anything that stops the page from saving, such as a button without a link. Select a problem to jump to it.

Design

Design sets the look of the whole page:

  • Presets: Emailit, Minimal, Centered, Editorial and Midnight. A preset replaces the colors, fonts and card settings; you can change them afterwards.
  • Typography: the text and heading fonts, the text size and the alignment.
  • Colors: the accent color of buttons, links and the selected reason, the text on buttons, headings, text, muted text and the page background.
  • Card: the box around the blocks, with its background, border, width, padding, corner radius and shadow.
  • Buttons: rounded corners or a pill shape.

Fonts other than System, Arial, Helvetica, Verdana and Georgia load from Bunny Fonts, a privacy-friendly mirror of Google Fonts.

Select the footer under the card, or Footer in Layers:

  • Links: up to 10, such as your privacy policy, website or contact page.
  • Small print: your company name and address, or why the recipient got your emails.
  • Powered by Emailit: turn it off to remove the Emailit logo from the page.
  • Language switcher: lets recipients pick another of the page’s languages. It’s off at first, and appears only when the page has more than one language.

Languages

Under Languages, add the languages your recipients speak and translate the page’s texts:

  1. Pick a language and select Add. The editor switches to it.
  2. Translate the texts on the page, in Properties, or in the list of every text under Languages. Missing only shows the texts that are still to do.
  3. Use the language picker above the page to switch the language you edit and preview.

Your page starts with the languages of Emailit’s page: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese and Czech, with Emailit’s texts. Remove the ones you don’t need. These seven come with built-in texts: when you add one of them, every text you haven’t changed gets Emailit’s translation. In other languages, and for texts you wrote yourself, a text without a translation shows in the default language, and the editor marks it as not translated.

The first language is the default. Make another one the default with its star, or remove a language with its trash icon.

Which language recipients see

The page opens in the first of the page’s languages that matches the recipient’s browser, and in the default language otherwise. To choose the language for a campaign, add lang to the unsubscribe link in your content:

HTML
<a href="{{unsubscribe_url}}?lang=de">Abmelden</a>

The List-Unsubscribe header unsubscribes in one click without showing the page. Recipients can also switch with the language switcher in the footer.

Other pages with this design

Two more pages that recipients open from your emails use the design: the manage subscriptions page and the page people see after they confirm a double opt-in link. They get your colors, fonts, logo, footer and languages, with Emailit’s built-in texts for what they show. The link to the manage subscriptions page after a double opt-in follows the Manage subscriptions link switch and text of your Confirmation block.

Go back to Emailit’s page

On WorkspaceSettingsUnsubscribe page, select Use Emailit’s page and confirm. This deletes your design, and recipients see Emailit’s page right away.

If the workspace moves to Pay as you go, recipients see Emailit’s page, but your design is kept. It comes back when you upgrade again.
